Worried your yard is too small for a water feature? Think again. These homeowners downsized but couldn’t imagine not having a waterfall in their new space. So Good Earth Water Gardens created a stream that fits the space perfectly and looks like it’s always been there. The result? An intimate and relaxing environment.
You can fit a lot of beauty and relaxation into a tight space – and this pondless waterfall is proof! The team at Good Earth Water Gardens was excited to create a lush environment in an area that many people would have overlooked. Here’s how it happened.

Must-have: a pondless waterfall

Our clients were downsizing, but there were some comforts they didn’t want to leave behind – like a pondless waterfall. They reached out to us to find a way to install a water feature in their new, much smaller backyard.
There were lots of reasons why it shouldn’t work. The yard sloped away from the house and the square
footage was fairly limited. Plus, getting equipment into the space could be a challenge. But where there’s a will, there’s a way, and Good Earth Water Gardens made it happen.
The day of the install, the street was being redone. So that meant no street parking! And we were very cognizant of the brand-new driveway. So our first step was protecting the concrete. Then, we carefully made our way to the backyard.

A water feature for any space

The great thing about pondless waterfalls is that they’re all different. We love creating water features that are truly part of the larger environment and look like they’ve been there forever. Using a 100-gallon AquaBasin reservoir, the Good Earth team carefully crafted a pondless waterfall with a six-foot stream. Here’s how it worked. In a small area, we got a lot of bang for our buck. The water feature is visually pleasing and the relaxing sounds of running water can be enjoyed from the patio as well as a deck. The homeowners might have left a larger yard, but they still get the benefits of a beautiful pondless waterfall.
