Water features draw people in and bring them together. Nowhere is this more apparent than a neighborhood fountain. Seven Bridges is a beautiful subdivision in Platte City, Missouri. Developer David Barth was looking for ways to attract prospective residents to a new area of the subdivision. He decided a welcoming fountain was the way to make it happen. Some people might think this choice was a gamble. But David has used water features in his subdivisions before. He understands how they grab attention, welcome visitors and provide a solid return on investment.

A custom fountainscape for a new neighborhood

Good Earth Water Gardens was excited to design a one-of-a-kind fountainscape for this spacious community. We started our work when the area was bare ground … and not much else. To say the transformation has been epic is an understatement. To get started, we moved extra dirt from home sites and used it to build up the area for the fountain. After excavating a reservoir, we installed our trusty Aquablox to contain water and keep it moving. In the video, you’ll see how we put down liner, then used underlayment on top of that to provide an extra layer of protection against tears and leaks. Then came the fun part. We used a combination of urns, spillway bowls, boulders and rocks to create a unique water feature. This fountainscape features bowls with multiple spillways, urns of varying heights and boulders that look like they’ve been there forever. The result is eye catching and welcoming. Time has passed since our initial installation. What was once an open field is now a spacious neighborhood with beautiful homes facing the water feature, which acts as a centerpiece for the community. Trees, colorful shrubs and decorative grasses enhance the fountainscape. And custom lighting means residents and their guests can enjoy the water feature day and night.

Transform your living space

Whether they’re in your own yard or part of a larger community, water features can shape an environment. The relaxing sounds and visual beauty of running water can transform a physical space – and your mental headspace. At Good Earth Water Gardens, we’re honored to work with homeowners, developers and communities. No matter your space, we can help you create a water feature that meets your needs.
