In real estate, it’s location, location, location. And the same is true with water features.
Good Earth Water Gardens recently helped a client in Overland Park. These folks had installed a bubbling fountain several years ago. The fountain was in the back corner of the yard, so it wasn’t really visible from the house or the deck and patio area.
Water feature goals
Our client wanted an area where they could see and hear water without having to physically go sit in the back corner of their yard. The existing bubbling fountain wasn’t doing the trick – but it was a nice little fountain.
We worked with the clients to install a stacked slate urn fountain in the back area of their yard. This gave some height, more sound, and a little more oomph to the area. Then, we moved the bubbling fountain to an ideal spot near the patio. The client chose to upgrade to a waterfall feature with nighttime lighting. Now, they have a stunning waterfall beneath rock that enhances the patio day and night.
How water feature transformations happen
Both the stacked slate urn and the bubbling waterfall are low-maintenance. The sights and sounds of moving water can be enjoyed from the patio and deck and have enhanced the quality of life for our clients. there have even been reports of entire days spent sitting on the deck!
At Good Earth Water Gardens, we delight in helping our clients make the most of their outdoor living spaces. Sometimes that means a complete re-do, but it often means making the most of what you’ve got.
