Project Showcase: Entryway Fountain Revamp

We recently worked with homeowners in Leawood, Kansas, who were well aware of this – and knew their existing front-yard fountain wasn’t getting the job done. Water feature troubleshooting – and transformation

A few years ago, the homeowners installed a large bubbling stone with three spouts. However, it often stopped working. And when it was working, the impact was … meh. Our team determined that the reservoir under the fountain was too small to provide enough water to keep the feature running. The answer was digging a larger reservoir. And while we were at it, the homeowners asked us to create a more dynamic bubbling boulder display. So that’s just what we did. We removed the old rock, demoed the reservoir and dug a reservoir sized to support the fountainscape. Then, we cored three carefully selected boulders and created a multilevel fountain. Homeowners and visitors alike now enjoy the calming sound of running water and dynamic views from the porch, sidewalk and street. This project took our team just two days.
