Converting a Pond to a Pondless Waterfall

Good Earth Water Gardens recently worked with Overland Park homeowners who loved the sounds created by their backyard waterfall. But the pond it emptied into wasn’t their cup of tea. It didn’t function properly and the homeowners were just over the upkeep. No maintenance? No problem. We designed a water feature that made the most of the existing waterfall but replaced the pond with an easy-to-maintain pondless waterfall system. Here’s how it works.

Renovating an Existing Pond

This project started out with a rocky landscape that looked more severe than natural and a liner that even showed through in spots. The Good Earth Water Gardens crew emptied the existing pond and created an AquaBlox reservoir to power the pondless waterfall. We also gave the waterfall a bit of a facelift to make it look like it had been there forever. See it all in our renovation video.
