Once you’ve enjoyed a water feature, it’s hard to go back to just plain grass!

This client had a pond in the front yard of his previous home. The new house is great, but he missed the sights and sounds of a water feature. So what’s a homeowner to do? Install a pond, of course!

The homeowner had built the previous pond himself. However, this time around, he decided to call in the professionals. That’s where Good Earth Water Gardens came in.

Building the perfect pond

We worked with the homeowner to design a six-by-eight pond nestled between the garage, sidewalk, and house. Then, we got to work. Check out the process with this time-lapse video:

The pond has gotten a lot of attention in the neighborhood – it’s a welcome change from the traditional suburban landscape. The homeowner has added more plants and koi to the pond. And there was a sighting of neighbors gathered ‘round the pond, fishing poles in hand!

We set up the pond with lights so that it can be enjoyed all the time. And the relaxing sound of moving water greets visitors day and night. This water feature is unique for the neighborhood and a welcoming way to make the home stand out.
