Reviving a DIY pond

This homeowner enjoyed a backyard pond that she’d installed herself. And then? Life happened. The little backyard pond slowly lost its allure. Eventually the landscaping overgrew and the pond became completely nonfunctional. There it sat for several years, a shell of its formerly charming self.

But then life happened again. Circumstances changed and the woman who built the pond was ready to get back into water gardening. This time, she didn’t tackle the project herself – she called in the professionals.

Good Earth Water Gardens received an email with photos of the backyard where this homeowner once sat out on her patio and enjoyed a beautiful water garden. Having already owned a pond, she knew exactly what she wanted. Her two main requests were easy maintenance and a waterfall on the edge of the pond.

Done and done! Our team came up with a plan and got this project on the schedule. And after a few days of construction, this backyard blemish was transformed. Now, the beautiful water garden blends with the landscape. And the tranquil waterfall can be seen and heard from various rooms in the house.

The result is stunning, but maintenance will be a breeze. Our homeowner will spend far less time than she did on the upkeep of her old pond. And she signed up for one of our annual maintenance packages, too. This gives her more time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the water feature.
